Convergence of Discrete Models of TCP Congestion Avoidance

Dr. Olga Bogoiavlenskaia (Petrozavodsk State University, Russia)

Discrete behavior of TCP Congestion Avoidance is often described in the literature by piecewise linear stochastic process where sliding window is treated as a real value. Meanwhile the qualitis of the piecewise linear approximation is not investigated analytically yet. In this work we consider a sequence of discrete random processes and show that it converges to the piecewise linear stochastic process.
