Modelling of the Data Flows Structure in the Enterprise ICTinfrastructure on the Basis of the Object Model of Its Architecture: Use Cases

MSc Alexander. Kolosov (Petrozavodsk State University, Russia).

Within the business-driven network management approach an enterprise administration often need to determine how efficiently their ICT-infrastructure is utilized by the given set of business processes. Widely used traffic monitoring technologies such as NetFlow and its open standard successor IPFIX do not provide any means to map gathered data flows to the business processes of the enterprise in order to produce some business related traffic metrics. The tool for a network researcher, that will allow to define and collect traffic flows between the elements of the enterprise business architecure is developed in our department within the network management experimental platform Nest project.

In this talk we consider the formal model of a data flow and its strucure between the elements of an enterprise's business architecture specified by its object model. The model application scenarios will be also dicussed.
