Modeling resources for training based on cognitive maps

Igor O. Semenov, Gennadii S. Sigovcev

This talk focuses on modeling resources for training and on making their content in form of educational courses. We introduce a short description of cognitive maps (their parameters, properties and characteristics) and how to use then in such modeling. We also describe a computer system Cognitive decision-making system for modeling and analysis based on cognitive maps. The content optimization problem of training resources is discussed. The optimization criterion is maximum elements of course importance for the given time limit. Based on examples, we demonstrate how to apply cognitive maps in modeling. Genetic algorithms are used for solving the above optimization problems. Some detailed examples are given to provide more understanding of our computer system Cognitive decision-making system.
