The list of topics for the course "Team Software Engineering Project" is defined and available. Third-year students of the Faculty of Mathematics majoring in the areas "Applied Mathematics and Computer Science" and "Information Technology" must self-organize into teams of developers, then each team registers in one project presented. Summer School on Advances in Network computing
Summer School on Advances in Network computing, organized in the context of Finnish-Russian Crossborder University, has been opened. The classes take place in Petrozavodsk State University, Aug. 16-25.
The school is attended by students of Helsinki and Kuopio Universities, Laapeenranta Institute of Technology, Saint-Petersburg Polytechnic University, SPbSU and PetrSU.
Olga Bogoyavlenskaya conducts the course "Performance Modelling for Wireless Data Communication".
Dmitriy Korzun conducts the course "Routing Algorithms in Structured Peer-to-Peer Systems".

Applications of Parsing Methods and Tools
In 20.-24.3.2006, Associate Professor Dmitry G. Korzun conducted an intensive visiting course "Applications of Parsing Methods and Tools" at the Department of Computer Science of the University of Kuopio.
The course is in the framework of Finnish-Russian Cross Border university, the pilot "Information and Communication technology".

Intensive guest course
Guest lecturer Marko Hassinen (Department of Computer Science, University of Kuopio, Finland) will lecture the course Introduction to mobile programming on Symbian operating system at 10.-15.5.2006. The course is mainly intended for third-, fourth- and fifth-year students as well as for master students. The course is graded by using pass/fail basis. Registration to the course is needed (available in room 215).
